Wendy-Jo Toyama Recognized as a Fellow of ASAE
We’re proud to congratulate Wendy-Jo Toyama, MBA CAE FASAE, on being recognized as a Fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (FASAE). Wendy is a member of AMC’s executive team and serves as the CEO of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM).
The Fellows program is one of ASAE’s highest honors, recognizing individuals who have made a significant impact on the association community through exemplary volunteer service and leadership, extraordinary accomplishments, and other major contributions to ASAE and the profession of association management.
Wendy has been an active leader in the association management space for nearly 25 years, holding various volunteer leadership positions across professional organizations, most recently serving as a member of the ASAE Foundation Research Committee and as a past chair of the ASAE Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
“We are extremely proud of Wendy and thrilled that she is being recognized for her many achievements within the association community,” says AMC CEO Steve Smith. “An accomplished leader and advocate for DEI, Wendy stands out for expertise, commitment, and drive to innovate positive change and growth. She is also the second AMC staff member to be recognized as a Fellow of ASAE, joining Mark Engle in achieving this well-deserved designation. Congratulations, Wendy, we are honored and grateful to have your leadership at AMC.”
Wendy will be recognized for this honor at the 2021 ASAE Annual Meeting.
“I am humbled and honored to join my colleagues in service to our profession,” states Wendy. I look forward to working passionately to forge a successful path for the future of associations by continuing to champion the need to invest resources in justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives—building trust, inspiring bold change, and fostering collaboration.”
