With more than 40 years of working in healthcare administration and guiding volunteer boards, Stacy knows the difference between management and governance. She thrives on helping board members move from thinking about daily, functional operations to governing for the future. Having served on and led countless community and hospital boards, she understands the role of the volunteer—and has been known to visit board members in their workplace to fully gain their perspective and understand their work style.
Stacy has many passions, all which use her talent for strategic and goal-oriented thinking. She is passionate about helping boards reach for exceptional governance to lead their profession and association now and in the future. For example, as an expert in healthcare quality, Stacy looks to metrics such as the changing demographics of the healthcare workforce and U.S. population to understand the impact of health reform on the future of healthcare.
Stacy also loves fundraising and building community relationships to achieve long-term goals. It’s one reason why she says she joined AMC, a mission-driven organization that strives to help clients “Achieve What You Believe” by building strong, trusting relationships with clients.
If you know Stacy, you’re waiting for mention of her other passion—golf. “Golf is about life lessons,” says this avid social golfer, who grudgingly admits to a stellar handicap of 21. Among them: concentrate on your own game, focus on the task at hand, and by all means know your goal.
