The American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM) has selected AMC to provide full-service management. The management arrangement begins September 1.

Formerly a self-managed association, AAHCM was founded in 1984 as the American Academy of Home Care Physicians, and was renamed in 2014 to better reflect the diversification of its membership base. Since its founding, the Academy has served the needs of thousands of physicians and related professionals and agencies interested in improving care of patients in the home.

According to AMC principal Mark Engle, DM FASAE, “We are incredibly pleased that AAHCM’s Board of Directors has chosen AMC to help move the Academy to the next level. We are confident that our strategic leadership and operational efficiencies will help AAHCM grow, and we’re very much looking forward to partnering with the Board and members to help achieve the Academy’s goals.”

The AAHCM account team will be led by Executive Director Suzanne Simons, MS, who brings significant experience in healthcare and association leadership to the role. She is supported by a group of staff who will provide operational support to the Academy as it works to continue its leadership role in its industry.

AAHCM President Tom Cornwell, MD, said, “We’re pleased to have found a partner in AMC that is interested in investing the effort in helping our industry succeed into the future. I’m convinced that with the evident synergies between our association and other AMC client partners, this relationship will take AAHCM to the next level of success.”

With this new relationship, AAHCM becomes AMC’s 32nd current full-service client partner.
