LINDA CARADINE-POINSETT NAMED CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER AT AMC

We’re pleased to announce that Linda Caradine-Poinsett, PhD MJ MBA, has been named chief strategy officer (CSO) of AMC following a nationwide search.

Dr. Caradine-Poinsett brings more than 25 years of association and healthcare leadership experience in driving organizational growth, aligning strategic priorities, and enhancing service delivery. She has extensive experience engaging boards and staff in strategic planning, integrated marketing, development and fundraising, technology initiatives, industry relations, and strategic events management–key areas that align with AMC’s commitment to advancing clients’ success.

“Linda is a forward-thinking leader known for strengthening partnerships and fostering inclusive, team-driven environments that drive organizational success,” said Steve Smith, AMC CEO. “She is a trusted advisor to boards and executive leaders within a variety of association and non-profit settings, delivering high-impact outcomes aligned with organizational goals. We are thrilled to welcome her back to AMC.”

Prior to joining AMC, Caradine-Poinsett served as CEO for the Institute of Real Estate Management, American College of Prosthodontists, and American College of Prosthodontists Education Foundation. She also held leadership roles at the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, College of American Pathologists, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, American Bar Association, and Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.

Caradine-Poinsett, who previously served as executive director at AMC earlier in her career, said “Returning to AMC is an exciting opportunity to bring my expanded leadership experience and skills to a forward-focused organization,” she stated. “I’m delighted to join AMC’s stellar consulting team and work with association clients to deliver governance, strategic planning, and board development solutions that empower them to thrive.”

A lifelong learner and accomplished professional, Caradine-Poinsett has a PhD in Organizational Leadership from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an MJ in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago, an MBA with an emphasis in Finance from National Louis University, and a BS in Healthcare Administration from National Louis University. She is also an adjunct professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her achievements have been recognized with several accolades, including the Women of Excellence Award from the Chicago Defender, REACH Award from National Louis University, and Women in Business Entrepreneur Award from the city of Chicago.

In addition to her professional achievements, Caradine-Poinsett is deeply committed to community service, volunteering with A Silver Lining Foundation and Southside Help Center. She is also an active member of the American Society of Association Executives, Association Forum, American College of Healthcare Executives and Toastmasters International.

She began her role at AMC on January 6, 2025.
