We’re pleased to announce that Robert Oakes, CPM CSM CSPO SA Project +, has been promoted to vice president of technology and digital customer experience.
In his nearly 6-year tenure at AMC, Oakes has been a results-driven strategic partner to our association and nonprofit clients, delivering transformative solutions and services that drive growth and enhance the customer experience.
Since February 2024, Oakes has served as director of business solutions at AMC. In November 2024, he also began serving as interim director of technology services. In these roles, he has significantly enhanced technology operations, elevated member service support, and cultivated an agile, innovation-focused team culture that is responsive to evolving market needs.
Oakes’s career with AMC also includes an earlier four-year term from 2015 to 2019, during which he held the positions of business analyst and IT innovation analyst. Between his two terms at AMC, he also held roles as a senior product manager for Cognizant and product manager for Groupon and RedShelf (now part of VitalSource). Prior to AMC, he spent 10 years at HIMSS, a global nonprofit focused on improving healthcare through information and technology, in several roles focused on re-envisioning HIMSS eLearning Academy, implementing a company-based membership program, and market research.

Oakes began his role on July 1, 2025, and now serves as a member of AMC’s Leadership Team.
