Robert Oakes Hired as Director of Business Solutions

We’re excited to welcome Robert Oakes back to AMC in a new role as director of business solutions. In this role, he will oversee the implementation of tools that enhance the customer experience for the associations AMC manages and oversee a team of member services professionals who provide customer and member support.

Rob brings more than 15 years of experience in aligning services and products with strategic goals to drive revenue growth. His most recent position was as a senior product manager for Cognizant, where he led the delivery of custom software development solutions for clients, driving discovery, initiation, and implementation, while leveraging his scrum and agile training. He also held roles as a product manager for Redshelf and Groupon.

Prior to that, he worked at AMC for 4 years, beginning his career as business analyst in 2015 before being promoted to IT Innovation Analyst in 2016. Before joining AMC, he spent 10 years at HIMSS in several roles focused on re-envisioning HIMSS eLearning Academy, implementing a company-based membership program, and market research.

Rob has an MFA from Roosevelt University and holds numerous product and project management certifications including CPM, CSPO, CSM, SAFe® 6 Agilist, and CompTIA Project+.

He began his role at AMC on February 20, 2024.
