We’re very pleased to announce that Sara Hynes has been promoted to executive director for the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP). Sara brings nearly 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, board partnership, program development, and achieving strategic goals to her new role as executive director.
Sara began her career at AMC in 2019 as an education coordinator for the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) and has advanced steadily since. In 2021, she was promoted to online learning and education manager, a role in which she elevated ARN’s educational portfolio, increasing offerings for members and enhancing the value of membership. She was promoted again in 2022 to senior manager of operations and education for ARN and since that time has been working closely with the board of directors to achieve business goals. She will continue in her senior manager of operations and education role with ARN while working with NPIAP.
Prior to AMC, Sara held roles as a community education coordinator and director with The National Alliance on Mental Illness of DuPage.
“Sara Hynes is a growth-focused leader who is committed to achieving outcomes and building strong partnerships with board leaders and members,” said Steve Smith, AMC CEO. “She has dedicated her career to advancing the strategic objectives of healthcare organizations. With her leadership and expertise, NPIAP is well supported to advance its mission and expand its impact.”
Sara has a BA in Spanish and psychology from Elmhurst College.
She began her new role with NPIAP on November 1, 2023.
