Lauren Winters is the Education and Operations Manager for the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities. She thrives in event planning and operations for her association role, finding inspiration in her work supporting those who help others. Lauren is also passionate about fostering a workplace that feels like a supportive community, especially for staff new to AMC. She is a dedicated co-navigator of two of AMC’s Employee Resource Groups—LGBTQIA+ and Working Women—and strives to ensure everyone feels welcome.  “It’s not easy to feel accepted in all of your identities,” said Lauren. “My hope is I can help even just one person feel more comfortable expressing themselves and their perspective.” Lauren holds a BA in political science and human rights. Outside of AMC, you’ll find her traveling, line-dancing, and exploring Chicagoland’s culinary scene.
