Three AMC staff members have earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).
Senior Account Manager Mary Beth Benner, Account Executive Joan Kram, and Account Manager Emily Muse each achieved the certification during the May exam window.
Mary Beth Benner serves as the senior operations manager for AMC client the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. She has been with AMC for 14 years.
Joan Kram, MBA BSN has been with AMC for 5 years, and serves as the executive director of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing, and the International Transplant Nurses Society.
Emily Muse serves as the manager of communities and programs for the American Academy of Hospice & Palliative Medicine, and has been at AMC for 5 years.
According to AMC principal Jeff Engle, “Earning the CAE is a tremendous accomplishment that takes a great deal of hard work and dedication. We are proud of our three outstanding employees for receiving this certification, and are very excited about their continued great work on behalf of AMC clients.”
To achieve the CAE, applicants must complete 100 hours of broad based professional development training and sit for an exam based on nine knowledge domains that assess a potential candidate’s knowledge in 156 competencies of effectively managing an association.
By passing the exam, Benner, Kram, and Muse join 13 other AMC staff members who have achieved the CAE designation:
