We are pleased to announce that Erin Volland, MPA CAE, has been hired as a new senior consultant of AMC Consulting Services.
Erin has served associations throughout her career, coming to AMC from her position as senior manager of member engagement at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), where she led member engagement strategy in supporting more than $20 million in dues revenue. Prior to AAOS, Erin was a state associations relations specialist at the American Association of Nurse Aestheticists (AANA). She has volunteered for the Association Forum CAE Working Group, facilitated the Association Forum’s Certified Association Executive (CAE) Study Class, and served as member of the American Society of Association Executive’s Component Relations Council. Her experience also includes component relations and volunteer management at AAOS and program management and governance at AANA.
According to AMC vice president of business development Mike Norbut, MBA MSJ, “We are delighted to welcome Erin to our AMC Consulting team. Her experience working for large, sophisticated healthcare organizations and her knowledge of a broad spectrum of association departments, including governance, membership, marketing and component relations, will be a tremendous asset to our consulting clients.”
Erin has a master’s degree in public affairs in nonprofit management and policy analysis from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, has earned her CAE, and was a recipient of the Association Forum and USAE Forty Under 40 Award in 2014.
About her new position, Erin says, “I am very excited to take on this new role with AMC Consulting Services. I think that my broad range of experience in healthcare association management will enable me to strategically support AMC’s governance training and market research. I look forward to working closely with AMC’s clients and their boards to provide realistic, actionable solutions that drive change.”
