Erin Volland, MPA CAE

Erin Volland, MPA CAE, is a senior consultant for AMC Consulting Services specializing in governance, leadership development, and strategic planning for associations and professional societies.

Erin draws from a broad range of experience in healthcare association management when supporting organizations as a consultant. She brings more than 15 years of expertise in translating data and leading practices into actionable insights that result in transformational change. Of her many career highlights, she partnered with volunteer leaders of over 10 organizations to launch a single fellowship match day for a leading healthcare association.

Erin is an active member of the association community at large, writing articles on governance and board relations for various publications, serving on the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) CAE Item Writing Committee, and has previously volunteered for the Association Forum CAE Working Group, facilitated the CAE Study Class, and served as a member of the ASAE Component Relations Council.

Erin has a master’s degree in public affairs in nonprofit management and policy analysis from the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. She was a recipient of the Association Forum and USAE Forty Under 40 Award in 2014.

In her free time, Erin enjoys being a continuous student of life, reading everything from presidential biographies to the latest top Goodreads list, and chasing her twins in as many different places around the world as she and her husband can.
