AMC CEO Steve Smith, MS CAE FAAMSE, will share insights on best practices for navigating the external executive director management model at the upcoming AMC Institute Annual Meeting on January 27.
In the session “External Executive Directors: The Good, The Bad, and The Unexpected,” Steve will join other association management leaders in presenting strategies for building successful relationships with executive directors who report directly to their boards and are not employees of the association management company.
Together, they’ll explain what works well with these partnerships, share what can go wrong and how to prevent mistakes, and identify leading practices to increase satisfaction and success for association management companies, external executive directors, and boards.
